Helping people hear better —
wherever life happens.
HearFinder is being built as an open, public map of places
with Auracast, Loop, and other assistive listening systems.
changes lives.
is access to connection.
confidence.
deserves to belong.
Who We Are
Built by people who believe hearing access should be visible.
HearFinder is created by a team with over 20 years of experience in assistive listening technology.
We are also users ourselves — and believe access to sound should be simple, open, and universal.
Why this matters
People should not have to guess whether a church, clinic, theater, airport, or public space supports assistive listening.
The problem today
Assistive listening exists in many places — but most people do not know where to find it.
For people with hearing loss, this uncertainty can be enough to stop them from joining a service, event, class, tour, or public gathering.
It is not just about technology. It is about confidence.
People do not know which venues support assistive listening.
Loop systems may exist, but are often invisible online.
Auracast is growing, but locations are still hard to discover.
Many people hesitate to participate because they are not sure they will be able to hear.
Access to sound should be visible — not hidden.
Who is behind this?
HearFinder was started by a team with over 20 years of experience in assistive listening and wireless audio.
The team behind Avantree and VenuCast created HearFinder because we kept seeing the same problem: even when listening technology is available, people often cannot find it.
A public-benefit project
We are a commercial company, but HearFinder is intentionally built as a public resource — with no commercial agenda.
Our goal is simple: to help people with hearing loss find places where they can hear clearly, participate with confidence, and enjoy life more fully.
We welcome all brands, all venues, and all assistive listening technologies.
A personal note
As someone with single-sided deafness (SSD), I personally understand how difficult it can be to follow conversations, especially in public spaces.
There are many moments where you hesitate — not because you do not want to join, but because you are not sure if you will be able to hear.
HearFinder comes from that lived experience.
We hope that one day, people with hearing loss can go anywhere — and enjoy it just like everyone else.
Assistive. >> Inclusive. >> Immersive.
We’re building a future where hearing access is expected, easy to find, and designed for everyone.
Check with confidence
Before going somewhere, people can check if hearing support is available.
Make efforts visible
Venues can make their accessibility efforts visible.
Empower more people
Families and clinicians can help more people participate.
Build better together
The industry can work together to improve accessibility.
A world where hearing access is easy to find, expected, and inclusive.
Help others hear better — start with one location.
If you know a church, theater, clinic, airport, museum, school, or public venue with assistive listening, sharing it could help someone participate with confidence.
